Fisherman's Christmas

I finally got our Christmas tree up! This is our first Christmas tree in our new house and man does it look good. It didn't come looking this pretty, but my time and patience paid off. It all started when Jeff and I went to Lowe's to pick up our tree and there wasn't a single one left in the place. After a few tears I finally faced the fact that we were not going to find one. On our way home we stopped by Walmart to pick up a few things and to my surprise I saw a couple of trees out front. They were all bound up laying against a fence so it was hard to pick a good one. I just grabbed the tallest one and hoped I wasn't getting a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. When we got home I put it in our stand, crossed my fingers, and cut the strings. Whew, I was lucky! There were a few bald spots but I actually picked a pretty decent tree. Today I started to decorate it but had to make a trip back to Walmart when I found out I had picked out crappy lights. Finally when I got home I was able to put the finishing touches on the tree including my cute fishing lures. A buddy of ours use to live with a guy who sold liquor and when he moved out he had left these lures that go on top of bottles. I saw them and knew right away a great way to use them. So, this is our Fisherman's Christmas tree.
